Young Adult Ministry
Calvary is thrilled to support and walk alongside young adults who are navigating all the challenges that come with this phase of life. It is a season of decision-making about some of life’s biggest questions, including questions about: love, college, career, where to live, and so much more. We believe that big decisions are best made when seeking to love and serve a big God alongside a community of others who are doing the same. Community matters.
Here’s how some of the key ways we pursue gospel-focused community together in the “young adult” age range.
Connect Groups
Connect Groups at Calvary offer opportunities that are high in connection (and the potential for friendship-building), and are always open to new people joining at any time. MSGs are a great place to meet people, seek out chemistry, and work toward deep friendships, all while learning and growing together along the way.
At Calvary, we have three Connect Groups that target young adults exclusively, and others that are open to any age adult. As you look for which one might be right for you, you can consider these descriptions as loose guidelines. Know that we don’t fully hold people to these guidelines; they are more recommendations than rules.
ILLUMINATE
Mostly college-age young adults (roughly 18 to 25ish years old).
Illuminate meets most Friday nights at Calvary, and focuses on expressive worship, teaching, and small group experiences.

Join a Calvary Shepherding Community
Consider joining a Shepherding Community
Calvary utilizes Shepherding Communities (small groups) as the backbone of our discipleship strategy. In a Shepherding Community, people should feel a sense of connection, yes, but also feel challenged to live out their faith in authentic and meaningful ways. Participation in SCs is a high emphasis of our church culture, as well as a requirement of membership (though to be clear, a person doesn’t need to be a member to be a part of a group).
Whoever you are, we encourage you to find a Shepherding Community! Some of our groups are similar “age and stage” groups, and some are intergenerational. There can be a beauty in both kinds of groups, to be sure!
