God’s enemies are unable to withstand the crushing weight of God’s glory, and as the Ark returns to the Israelites, we see that God’s own people are equally unable to stand in God’s presence. It is only in Christ that are we able to stand before the Lord.

Far from being ashamed of the person and work of Jesus, be so positively unashamed, bold and confident in the Gospel of Christ, that you are willing to suffer for it, knowing that He has chosen you, called you and equipped you to do so.

Gathering together to worship God is a joy and a privilege. It is good to come together to praise God as the Merciful One who has saved us from our sin, and the Holy One who is coming again to judge the world with perfect justice.
