Describe your current stage of life.
I am currently engaged to the most amazing man, Joshua Fry, God had given me after we both reconnected and fell back in love after knowing each other for a long while!
What are the good and the hard things about your current stage of life?
The hard thing about this current stage in life is financially affording a beautiful wedding. One good thing of many is our vision of this wedding and including all the important people in our lives!
In what stage of life do you feel God has taught you the most so far? Explain.
I believe this is the stage where God’s plan has really shined after all these years. I think we all go through situations, not just for the experience, but for the lessons that show a piece to the puzzle of “Gods Plan”. We don’t see the vision that God has for us, all we can do is be patient, pray and be blessed for what he’s done.
What is a Bible verse, quote, or song lyric that has meant a lot to you?
A Bible verse I’ve always grown up with after being confirmed in a previous church is:
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future”
I believe this is so fitting throughout my life because God really has a plan for everyone individually weather you’re going through tough waters or not. I’ve always relooked at this verse throughout my stages of life. God ALWAYS has a plan for you, you may not see it right away, but in the long run you will.
What or who is helping you in this stage of life?
~ The Fry Family has been supporting me along with my beautiful family The Eberhart’s!
What would you like others to know about this stage of life?
Not only am I engaged, but both my older brother and my youngster brother are also engaged. Everyone has their own vision of what their wedding will look like, but it’s kind of tough being the last one in my family to get married (next August) and watching my siblings before me.
Just for fun: what song or book title describes your life right now?
Song: “Forever Again” by Matthew Hansen

Dear Emily, I could be your great-grandma!
Just so you know, too formal of a wedding can be expensive and not necessarily a great remembrance!
When I remarried 30 years ago, we decided on a theme and simplicity! Since we both had Norwegian heritage, we said, “why not use that to surround our plans.” The minister loaned his Norwegian Red Vest, I wore my homemade Bunad (Norwegian dress), a friend offered to make the traditional wedding cake,
a high school fellow offered to take our photos, a son sang hymns with an accordionist! We paid the church ladies to make a Norwegian meal and bought tickets for those who wanted to end the day at a Norwegian Heritage Center, where they could even take sleigh rides.
All had so much fun, that even one guest minister in the group said, “I’ve never had so much fun at a wedding!” Opps-looked at his wife and said, “Besides ours!!” A wedding should be joyful; not a strain on family!
