The Fernandez’s ask for prayer for the people of Venezuela after the devastating earthquakes and aftershocks. A professor and missionary who works with ProMETA had the following requests:

“Pray for churches to show the compassion of God, much wisdom as they help many.
Pray that God would use this event to begin to heal the deep political wounds that have divided communities and many churches. That Venezuelan Christians would reach out to needy neighbors, and political enemies in the name of Christ. It’s a lot to ask. Would I invite them in off the street to sleep in my house?  God would have to take my heart to a new level. That is what we should pray for. For them and for us.”
