We Made It!!!

Thank you for your prayers for our travels! We left Calvary at 2:30 a.m. and arrived around 9:00 p.m. in the DR. Our biggest bump in the road was a 30 minute flight delay, and we actually arrived a few minutes early in Santiago. Praise God!

We spent our first morning doing orientation and having quiet time with God at Casa Tranquila, the camp we are staying at. The grounds are beautiful, and the food is delicious (I have been looking forward to Dominican arroz y habichuelas since the last time I was in the DR!).

After lunch, we met our translators! David, Jhonny, and Jailynne were part of the team two years ago, and it’s Esterlin and Joe’s first time. They are seriously awesome, and we are so grateful to have them.

Next, we visited each of the sites we will be working at: Buenos Aires, La Vid, and Boma. We prayed over each one, and I am confident God is going to work in big ways in the next couple weeks. To get to Boma, we had to hike about forty minutes and cross a river in the process!

Please continue to pray for us as we do house to house visits tomorrow in each of the communities. Pray the Dominicans would be open to what we have to say and for the Holy Spirit to give us the words we need. We want the people we serve to not only come to the events we will be hosting, but also the regular church services after we are gone and to be involved in it and passionate for the LORD.

We look forward to updating you again soon!
