Winter Ball

Guys and Girls modest attire is required for this event – this includes clothing that covers the body in a way that respects and preserves one’s modesty. (Modest dress includes – no low-cut dresses or shirts, no strapless dresses, dress length needs to be just above the knees or longer, no high slits. Wear clothing that allows you to move freely!)
For youth in 9th – 12th grade
High School students are invited to a Winter Ball hosted by our Student Leadership at Calvary E Free Church. This evening is designed for students to enjoy a sweet time of fellowship with friends and have a lot of fun learning some formal dances as well as some more familiar group dances. Students are encouraged to dress up in modest, semi-formal attire.

Throughout the evening students will have the opportunity to participate in some formal dances in the gym. We will have a professional instructor to teach them the dance along with proper dance etiquette. Refreshments and snacks will be served in the fellowship hall during breaks.

Students will be given a dance card when they arrive and will be matched up with someone for each of the dances.  This ensures everyone who wishes to participate will have an assigned partner.

Small Group Leaders will be present and participating in the evening with the students.

  • 7:35pm      Line Dance
  • 8:00pm      Break
  • 8:05pm      East Coast Swing
  • 8:35pm      Break
  • 8:40pm      2nd Line Dance
  • 9:05pm      Break
  • 9:10pm      Large Group Dance
  • 9:30pm      Clean Up
  • 10:00pm     Wrap up the evening
