Friday Youth Events During The Summer for MS & HS Students

City Scavenger Hunt July 9

Calling all sleuths, we need your detective skills to crack the case.  Go on a citywide scavenger hunt that will test your your riddle solving and teamwork abilities.  Meet at Calvary 6pm to form teams that will compete against each other in a friendly competition based on how many clues you successfully solve, extra challenges your team completes and who can finish with the fastest times.  Students will end the event at a secret location to celebrate their victory.  We will email parents the pick up location to keep it a surprise.  Pick up will be 9:30pm

Reverse Lock-In July 30

What is a reverse lock-in?  I’m glad you asked 🙂

Traditional lock-ins happen overnight whereas a reverse lock-in starts in the morning and ends at night.  Students show up at Calvary at 8am and we’ll go until 9pm.

There will be multiple options for students to engage in during the reverse lock-in from playing all kinds of sports, including nine square in the air, gaga ball, and carpet ball; to play an assortment of board games and family friendly video games; to large group games, laser tag, water games, painting/crafts and much more.
Lunch and dinner will be provided cost is $10

Parents I need your help

I love providing opportunities for kids to connect and fellowship with each other but I need your help.  Here are a few ways you could help with events above.

Scavenger Hunt:
Adult drivers and car with space to sit 5 or more

Reverse Lock-In:
Adult chaperones that could be here for a part or most of the day Friday.  Responsibilities range from helping prepare food, overseeing gym games, overseeing board game/hangout room, overseeing outdoor games and having fun with the students.

If you are available to help during any of these events please contact me at [email protected] and let me know which event you are interested in helping in and I would be happy to answer any questions you may have.  Thanks for considering!
